Scarecrow Century

A Laray Rector Memorial Ride

October 15, 2016

Mt. Pleasant, TN

Routes feature Natchez Trace Parkway, Amish countryside and Wineries! Route maps coming soon.

The 2016 Scarecrow Century will be held this year on Saturday, October 15, starting at 8:00AM at the Mount Pleasant Middle School of Performing Arts, 410 Gray LN, Mount Pleasant, TN. The ride will have courses that feature Lynnville and the Amish Village around Etheridge.    The riders will return to the Middle School where they can relax, and take advantage of the delicious well deserved lunch and showers.

After recuperating from the ride, riders may want to check out the festival going on in downtown Mount Pleasant. Barbeque cooking teams will be competing for prizes on the square all day so there should be delicious food as well as live music.

This Century gets high praise as being better than all the others around.  Register by September 23 to take advantage of the discounted price of $25.  It increases $5 after this, and $5 more on the morning of the event.

This ride has been designated a memorial to Laray Rector, who was killed by a motorist while bicycling.  We all miss Laray and his encouragement to others.  More on this HERE.
