Current Ride Schedule
NO RIDERS LEFT BEHIND*
Riders need to become members of the club and receive emails or texts regarding the starting times and locations. We provide location and downloadable routes with maps and cue sheets through the emails.
Saturday Mornings:
A Group (for the competitive riders)
-Road ride of 40-75 miles at an average speed of 17-20 mph
B Group (for mid-level riders)
-Road ride of 30-45 miles at a moderate pace, 15-18 mph
C Group (entry level)
-Road ride of 20-35 miles at a slow pace. Please be able to ride 20 miles before joining the group.
mountain bike mondays
At 5:15pm. on Mondays, we have an informal group ride if the trails are dry. Meet at the Pump Track. Discussion about who intends to show often occurs on the Facebook group, Chickasaw Trace Mountain Bike. The group may split up after starting depending on the various demands, such as supper time, or race preparations.
No one was there!
The Saturday morning ‘A’ ride will be consistently populated, even throughout the winter. The ‘B’ and ‘C’ groups are intermittent, and then only active March through October. For ‘B’ and ‘C’ we ask riders to respond to the Club’s Friday emails to see if we are going to have enough for a group ride.
*No one left behind
We want to stick together or regroup before any turns. Please do not let insecurities about your ability or condition stop you from joining these rides. Our Club’s purpose is to assist with bringing you along and we graciously and patiently try to do that. That said, you generally need to be able to ride 20 miles on a road bike on your own before joining.
Who can ride?
One should be able to ride 20 miles before joining the group ride. We welcome newcomers trying out our group rides. However, all riders are expected to soon become members of the Columbia Cycling Club for liability and insurance purposes. Membership includes the signing of a waiver that releases the others from injury liability.
